  1. PRESENT:

  2. PACT REPORT. 4 calls were made to the police during April, no details available.

    The PACT team will endeavour to attend the Wednesday coffee mornings whenever possible.

  3. MINUTES. Minutes of the Parish Council meeting of 04 March 2014 were read and signed as a true record by Cllr Pelter.

  4. MATTERS ARISING. (Clerks Report) Lune Lane End, Newton, 4 gullies blocked reported ENV329578 cleared and now re-blocked - work now completed satisfactorily. Cllrs agreed on change of date for July meeting to 22nd

  5. FINANCES. Extra-ordinary meeting to be held on Tuesday 13th May to confirm financial status of accounts.

    The closing balance in the current account at the end of March 2014 is £639.33 (sheet 244). The bank reconciliation shows a true balance of £569.33

    The closing balance in the Bonus Saver Account at the end of February 2014 is £1,135.95 which includes an annual interest of £9.48 (sheet 41).

    Precept received from Lancaster City Council of £3,0900.00 Some confusion over original precept request made regarding the grant structure now in operation, which was not deducted from the forecast spending and was therefore included on top of the initial request.

    The accounts have been internally audited by Anne Pettifor on 13th May 2014.

    The accounts are due to be accounted externally by BDO Stoy Hayward by 30th June 2014.

    Annual Return agreed, Statement of Governance read out, agreed and signed.

  8. BUSINESS INTRODUCED BY COUNCILLORS: Village Hall request for funding to replace secondary double glazing - further quotes to be requested. Dog Waste Bins - ongoing. Broadband meeting ongoing - information available shortly.

    The next meeting will on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 7.30pm in Whittington Village Hall.
