OTHER MATTERS:
Cllr. Hodgson reported on a meeting attended on police safety matters which concentrated on the Morecambe area.
Cllr. Lawson had obtained a quote of £380.00 to replace the notice board at Docker Lane. Council resolved to go ahead with this. Cllr. Lawson to liaise. He will also enquire about the possibility of repairs being made to the seat in the graveyard being made as well.
Requests had been made to remove the seat on Kirkby Lonsdale Rd. to the Sellet Hall layby and the one at West Hall corner. Cllrs. Think that both are fixed to concrete bases which would make this difficult but it will be investigated further.
The wooden seat donated by the Horticultural Society at the village hall is in need of maintenance. Cllr. Hodgson to make enquiries about this.
Docker cannot get Broadband - Clerk to write to BT to ask about progress on this. There has been a request to include back gardens in the Floral Competition. After discussion, Cllrs. decided that this would not be possible since permission has to be obtained to go onto a property and back gardens cannot be viewed from the road.
The next meeting will be at 8pm on Tuesday 8th January 2008, all parishioners are welcome to attend. NB. This is the second Tuesday.
