Irving's Sawmills have received permission to expand; clerk requested to write to Highways expressing concern about increased heavy traffic through the village from A65, with particular reference to its impact on Church Street and ask about the possibility of weight restrictions being imposed on through traffic. The footway by the church wall has been strengthened. Clerk to write to Mr J. Ellison to thank him and his partner for judging the floral competition. CORRESPONDENCE: Various items were noted. Clerk to write to Jim Fitzpatrick MP concerning the threat of closure to rural Post Offices. FINANCES: Current Acc.: £479.75; Bonus Savings Acc.; £2276.29VAT refund £97.66 received.
